Announcement Date: February 3, 2014 Effective Date: February 7, 2014 Magic Online Effective Date: February 12, 2014 Modern Deathrite Shaman is banned. Bitterblossom and Wild Nacatl are unbanned. Standard, Legacy, Vintage No changes Next B&R Announcement: April 28, 2014 Explanation of February 3, 2014, B&R Changes Different flavors of black-green decks have recently been among the best-performing decks in Modern. These decks play many very efficient ways to trade cards one for one with their opponents, such as Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, and Abrupt Decay. Strong mana acceleration helps these decks trade one for one efficiently enough that they can keep up with the other decks in a large format such as Modern, but normally playing mana acceleration comes at the cost of playing cards that are less powerful in the late game. Deathrite Shaman, however, is powerful at all stages of the game. Having a strong attrition-based deck as a large portion of the metagame makes it difficult for decks that are based on synergies between cards instead of individually powerful cards. We believe that removing Deathrite Shaman from the format will leave more room for future innovation. At the time Wild Nacatl was banned, we hoped that this would allow room for other aggressive decks to shine. Artifact-based aggressive strategies have remained popular and a few other aggressive decks have emerged, but the Zoo decks eventually disappeared as a result of the ban and nothing else emerged as a viable traditional aggressive deck. We expect that with the return of Wild Nacatl, those decks will return as a viable option. At the time of Modern's inception, the dominance of Faeries in Standard was at the front of our minds. Therefore, we took the conservative approach of including Bitterblossom in the initial banned list. Mi dispiace per il ban di sciamabo perché avevo da poco iniziato a giocare rock bg però in effetti è una carta troppo forte, ero sicuro che avrebbero sbannato gatta, mi ha sorpreso molto lo sban di bitterblossom ero convinto non lo avrebbero fatto, beh nascera un nuovo tier 1 ^^ Ps: col ban di sciamano goyf calerà sicuramente di prezzo ^^ |

mmm non ne sono cosi sicuro sul calo di goyf che ipotizzi... se con nacatl zoo torna ad esser competitivo certamente li si giocherà goyf... e non penso che goyf smetterà di esser giocato negli altri mazzi dove si giocava insieme a dts solo xke l'han bannato.. imho

Parlo del cane un CANE di cui non conosco il nome abbia comprato quasi tutti i Bitterblossom e tutte le mistbind clique in commercio su decktutor. Su ebay è la stessa storia. Che dire, non c'è feccia peggiore degli speculatori. |

Tutti a parlare degli scontati cambiamenti del modern. Mio dio qualcuno pensi al legacy è possibile questo no changes in un meta composto al 80% da 2 archetipi tutte le liste dei mazzi cominciano con true name nemesis oppure stoneforge mystic oppure dark depths. La wiz si sta rendendo troppi ridicola con questo insensato no changes e da l'ennesima dimostrazione di quanto gliene freghi del legacy complimenti. |

Ma dai ........ se cominciano a bannare anche le carte creatura in Legacy, con tutto quello che c'è per combatterle stiamo messi proprio male  Mi stupisco che Show and Tell sia ancora vivo

i mazzi a base snapcaster mage saranno felici (già quando metà dei mazzi giocava deathrite erano forti....), a mio avviso, la carta più forte del formato ora!!!wild nacatl riporterà nelle top naya zoo o countercat (anche senza [card]green sun's zenith[/card]), anche se, nonostante i goyf, mi sembra soffrire troppo kitchen finks e bolt-snap-bolt (magari si giocheranno loxodon smiter e kotr) bitterblossom boh!!! sicuramente forte, si vedranno + faeries e WB tokens... JUND continuerà a dire la sua |
