PROLOGO
Quest’anno proprio non c’eravamo. Prestazioni deludenti, confusione mentale, una sola top 8 in 5 tappe di lega … Ho passato gli ultimi mesi arrovellandomi il cervello insieme al buon Bastia cercando di trovare configurazioni ottimali per il nostro deck preferito che risponde al nome di snap control ottenendo l’unico risultato di aggravare le perplessità riguardanti la tenuta del deck nel meta odierno … il deck è forte, divertente, eclettico … ma mi dà sempre l’impressione di una coperta a volte troppo corta … L’illuminazione è arrivata un paio di settimane fa nel momento in cui ho deciso di voltare pagina e provare qualcosa di diverso. Volevo un deck agile, in grado di mettere pressione continuativa all’oppo, con tante soluzioni e con uno spirito aggressivo. Questo brainstorming ha riportato alla mia mente le immagini di Balice in quel di Annecy che per 2 anni consecutivi ha seminato il terrore fra i primi tavoli del BOM pilotando un deck chiamato “Bruce’s Revenge” ideato da Valerio Visco. Immediatamente ho contattato il buon Bruce per avere uno scambio di opinioni riguardo una lista che ricorda il B. Revenge per poter iniziare un po’ di test cercando di mettere a punto un qualcosa di carino. Ovviamente di lì a poco avrebbero chiuso Cockatrice lasciando la mia principale fonte di testing all’asciutto. Quindi, con un testing quasi assente alle spalle, decido di montare una lista embrionale orientata sul canadian stile e portarla alla tappa di lega in un’ottica costruttiva e con poche pretese, nella speranza di poter trarre dalla giornata utili informazioni per migliorare la build.
