Sul sito ufficiale dell'evento ( http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=events/magic/07gencon ) stamattina, che sarebbero le 16.00 ora nostra se non sbaglio, doveva iniziare il torneo Legacy che ormai sarà alle fasi conclusive...
A seguire (quindi tra poco per noi, precisamente alle 23.00) dovrebbe esserci il torneo per i bye per il Vintage di domani...

Insomma se qualcuno ha notizie potrebbe postarle qui per favore???

Chiaro che si stava ragionando in un'ottica di fattibilità economica; che la spesa sia alta e il ritorno quasi nullo è innegabile, ed è un fatto che, giustamente, incide sulla possibilità e sull'opportunità di partecipare o meno.

Ciò non toglie che, per quanto simbolico, sarebbe stato piuttosto stimolante giocarsi una top 8 al mondiale, se le finanze/gli stimoli/la voglia l'avessero permesso. IMHO

La frase " affrontare le spese del caso perchè magari vai in America " ti dice niente ? La frase " viaggio pagato " dice niente . La frase " se in 8 mesi non sei cazzo di racimolare i soldi per la sola permanenza li allora smetti di giocare a magic e corri a trovare un lavoro perchè ne hai bisogno davvero " dice invece tutto ; nondimeno la frase " se proprio ci vuoi rientare vai li e ti carichi una barca di carte " si esplica da sola .
Tutto sommato ci sono n motivi per non andare, ma non quello delle finanze ( almeno che non siano casi particolari su cui non si può di certo discutere ) .

Per dare un senso a questo topic e non continuare a parlare di chi non è andato e di chi è andato posto un pò di informazioni... Rigorosamente nell'ordine in cui mi sono arrivate dai alcuni miei amici americani che hanno partecipato ai vari tornei...
Come sapete per ognuno dei due formati c'è stato un torneo detto Preliminar in cui il vincitore del torneo si sarebbe aggiudicato due bye per il torneo ufficiale del giorno dopo...

Io me ne intend davvero poco di Legacy e sinceramente è da questo inverno che non lo seguo però direi che dai dati che si possono evincere da questo top8 Treshold è ancora l’archetipo dominante e da battere… Specialmente la versione UGR sembra quella più radicata (a discapito di quella UGW praticamente sparita)… Interessante poi la lista UG del primo classificato…
Anche il “Cephalid Breakfast” potrebbe essere un mazzo interessante da provare…



VINTAGE
Anche il torneo Vintage, come il Legacy, si è articolato in due tornei che hanno avuto però lo stesso vincitore… Stephen Menendian…
Ebbene sì… Il più discusso e conosciuto giocatore d’oltre oceano, l’inventore di mille e mille mazzi del panorama del T1 è quello che gli americani chiamano Vintage World Champion 2007…
La sua lista a mio parere è praticamente perfetta: ha saputo scegliere con oculatezza fino all’ultimo slot le carte da inserire di main e di side che gli hanno permesso infatti un risultato eccezionale… In due giorni Smmenen ha perso una sola partita, se non sbaglio da Scott Limogenes, un altro mica tanto scarso con le figurine in mano detto tra noi…

Per le liste del torneo ufficiale bisognerà aspettare ancora qualche ora, se non forse domani mattina… Anche se la lista più importante, ovvero quella del vincitore è già a nostra disposizione (sinceramente non penso che ci siano stati radicali cambiamenti tra un giorno e l’altro nella sua lista)…

Più tardi magari edito con qualche commento alle liste e inserisco la funzione card ad esempio (oppure le scrivo in formato .mws così si possono testare)…
